You guys would not believe what it looks like out our window this morning. Denver is literally a snow globe! We woke up with about 12-13 inches of snow this morning, and it’s not supposed to stop until later today. Thankfully our family is working from home and staying out of the cold, except Rosie, haha!
We are heading to Michigan this year for Thanksgiving, but I wanted to share our easy and affordable Thanksgiving table setting with you today! I found most of the items at Hobby Lobby, Homegoods, and Target.
One of our favorite pieces of furniture we own is our dining room table. Johnny’s great great grandfather built it by hand, and it was gifted to Johnny by his mother before she suddenly passed away. It’s a really cool piece in our home that holds a lot of sentimental value. Using it to host any meal is really special to us.
I wrote names on old pieces of card stock for place cards, and found a burlap table runner at Target for $6. My plates were 40% off at Hobby Lobby and the gold chargers under them were $3 a piece. I tried to use home decor items I already had around the house to decorate, so this wooden bead garland (also from Hobby Lobby) made it to the table.
The only item I paid full price for were the napkin rings from Target. They’re only $9! I have a thing for gold tones, and I liked that I can use these for both Thanksgiving and Christmas. To be honest, I’ll probably use them year-round!
I found the green napkins on major sale from Bed, Bath & Beyond in their clearance bin. I love using green because it goes with both Thanksgiving and Christmas themes. The pumpkins are from the dollar section at Target! I always scope out this section, because there are always affordable pieces that can be used in many different ways.
I love candles, especially white ones. I like when everything matches with the rest of my decor. I buy a big bag of tea light candles and use them around my house before guests arrive. I had to add some to the table. I found the iron weaved basket in the clearance section at Homegoods for $4!! I like that it’s not so huge that you don’t have enough room for plates and food.
I loved writing and taking pictures for this post! Can’t wait to bring another table scape to you soon for Christmas!
