Hi friends! We made it to Fri-YAY!
I’m taking the time this morning to bring something new to the blog, that I hope can be an every Friday morning thing!
Every Friday, I’m going to share a few of my favorites from the week. This could be a restaurant we ate at, or something I bought. I want to share more of life with you, especially in the shopping aspect, and I thought this would be a great way to do so!
Here we go!
Restaurant
Johnny and I stumbled upon this restaurant after we tried a new church in Denver. We were attracted to this place because they classify themselves as “sophisticated southern” and they seemed to have a great brunch menu. This place rocked our worlds–both of us absolutely loved our food! Johnny got the Kentucky Hot Brown, which is an open-faced sandwich with roasted turkey breast, bacon, colby jack mornay, and tomato jam. I stole more than a couple bites off his plate. The best part is that we can walk to this place in the summer! This is definitely going to be a place I bring my friends who are visiting from out of town.
Home Decor
Hana Etagere Bookcase from Wayfair
We’ve been slowly decorating our apartment. We’re also trying to put less holes in the wall than our last apartment (haha, my fault). We decided that we’re going to put our tv on top of a media console. There’s nothing more “adult” than buying a media console, by the way. Who knew they were SO expensive?! Anyways–I found this one scrolling through Wayfair, and I was drawn to it because of the open shelving and it’s height (almost 3 feet!). If you’re looking for a cute new bookcase, or in our case a media console, this is a great option!
Food
Trader Joe’s Herbs and Spices Popcorn
I feel so funny linking a bag of popcorn to Amazon, haha. Since Johnny started his new job, we’ve been trying to find new things to pack in his lunch. If you have a TJ’s (not to be confused with my other best friend T.J. Maxx) you need to try this stuff! It’s seriously addicting and we’re almost done with the bag. It’s a nice alternative to potato chips too.
Clothing
Time of Your Life Black Asymmetrical Shift Dress
I’m not sure how much longer this dress will be on sale, but I snagged this for only $16! I plan on bringing it with me on my trip to Florida, and wearing it for an upcoming wedding in Michigan. I just think it will look so pretty with tan skin. It’s 70% off, and you can sign up for e-mails to get an extra 10% off!
Hope you all have a great Friday, and an amazing weekend!
Always, Aleesha
