Happy Thursday, friends!
If you feel like you’re running out of fuel getting to the weekend, don’t worry! You’re so close! I’m having to say this to myself as well! haha
I wanted to talk today about a few of my favorite places in Colorado Springs. I moved to Colorado three years ago this month, and I’ve found a few places that I always recommend to friends who are visiting and I want to share those with you.

This was hard to just pick one, but I had to go with my all-time favorite. Sonterra Grill is a southwest restaurant in Downtown Colorado Springs. This is where I take all of my out-of-town friends for dinner. I love the fun downtown atmosphere and the food is amazing. I could eat my weight in their chips and salsa. Johnny and I come here whenever we are in need of a romantic date night or just a night to celebrate. It’s also a great place to head out with your girlfriends. My favorite thing on the menu is their steak quesadilla–my mouth is literally watering thinking about it. Johnny always gets their street tacos, enchiladas or a big steak. Johnny and I don’t really drink, but they have a full bar as well. Great happy hour menu! Trust me, if you’re looking for a good meal–this is where you need to go.
Garden of the Gods is one of the most beautiful natural landmarks I have ever seen in my life. It’s kind of what COS is known for. You can drive around the entire park, or there are programs available where you can tour it on horseback. Johnny and I come here to hike the trails when we are in need of a good workout. The views of the red rocks are incredible, and you have a pretty sweet view of Pikes Peak as well. This is definitely an insta-worthy spot for your trip. We took our engagement photos here!
If you’re a long-time follower of me, you know that Eve’s Revolution is the equivalent to Disney World in my mind. Eve’s is the CUTEST boutique in town, in my opinion. Eve Carlson is the owner and she is one of the sweetest humans I have ever met. Her clothes are so flattering and the prices are very reasonable. She has great sales that everyone in town flocks to. If you’re looking for a fun place to go try on clothes or just window shop after brunch, this is the place you need to be!
My favorite, favorite, favorite coffee shop in town is Switchback. If you’re looking for a really hip, insta-worthy coffee shop–this is it. What I love about this coffee shop compared to others in town are their employees. They are so friendly and nice–not pretentious at all! My brother-in-law is the owner, and he and his team roast their own coffee. Their blends are incredible. Switchback is a great place to go if you’re seeing a long-lost friend, having a business meeting or need to study. Their menu is amazing too! They have the best street tacos that are Johnny’s favorite. Another thing I love about this place is that it’s family friendly. You’ll see people of all ages here, and they have really fostered a great community of people. This coffee shop is worth the stop!
These are just a few of my favorite spots, but I have a ton more! If you’re scheduling a trip to COS–send me a message! I’d love to give you more advice on places to go.
